Let me tell you about my weekend.

Hey guys! I haven't fallen off the radar completely. I'd like to apologize for being such a horrible human being for not updating everyone on what has been happening with my life (but if some bitches were following me on Twitter, y'all would know what went down).

Ok so let's start this post with Friday. My parents left for Japan a couple of days before, and their trip, which was very well-deserved btw cause the parentals have been working themselves to the bone trying to keep up w  dem billz. Anyway, this meant freedom for me and the 2 buggers that live w me at home. It came at the right time because last weekend was one of the busiest weekends I've had in quite some time.

Anyway, Friday. It was relaxed compared to the following night, but more on that later. So I decided to wear my new Lorico top (a navy blue button down with white stars all over, totes [don't judge] Dolce), and other accouterments. I went to Fiamma for the birthday party of one of my favorite girls, Belle, and the going away party of new friend Anna (whom I now love!)

Belle was recently featured in Megastyle.ph! Check that feature out guys!
The party was pretty cray. Here are some pictures lol, don't judge me!

I GOT DOWN. Lulz.

Getting frisky w the ladies. Anna on the left, Jermy (that's not her name lol) behind me and Mika (NA NAKA-QUOTA!!!) to my right.

Love of my life. Hi Tonio ha ha ha.
So yeah, things got pretty out of hand, and I had my exhibit the next day! LOL.

Saturday, or in Ponti's words, SaturCRAY! was my exhibit day. I collaborated w my friend Cheska for her thesis. The theme of the collection was trash couture which is very cliche but we wanted to make it more couture than trash (even more cliche lol). Here are pictures! Big thanks to Tash Alquiros, Kat Penaranda and Miel Ampil for helping us set up and taking pictures!

This is what I wore; the "Stalin" look accdg to my little brother: a vintage blazer fr my mother (styled into a military jacket, black cropped skinnies, metallic leopard print socks (I don't think it can get any gayer than that), patent brogue ankle boots, the chain necklace (styled into a sash); thanks Anika for taking the pic!

With Cheskalou
My Alexander McQueen x Marchesa dress made out of coffee filters and a used table cloth. lulz
Our wedding dress made out of cheese cloth and a used table cloth

Our bandage dress made out of towelettes and garbage bags

It was really fun that we could gather our friends to celebrate out accomplishment. I  wish you guys were there to celebrate with us! A look book and an editorial for this mini collection is coming soon, so stay tuned!

That Saturday also, Ralph Perou opened his Perouvian Wasteland at the Ayala Museum in collaboration with Status Magazine. This amazing British photographer has shot the likes of Katy Perry (whom he told to go to the exhibit as she had a concert in Manila the next day, but unforch that bitch was a no show lols), Vivenne Westwood and other really famous people. He did a talk earlier in the morning where he photographed everyone who attended (I will have my day with you mister!). He photographed 50 Cent and this other rapper, and I just couldn't keep the ghetto in me. I had to strike a gangsta pose in my heels. Lols.

With my friend Henriette
I don't have pictures from the exhibit, as you guys know by now, I'm the lousiest blogger on earth.

After this, I had dinner w my friend Megan who was at the exhibit and interviewed me for this online publication she works for! The profile is coming out in a few weeks! Then I had to rush over to Fiamma for my friend Anika's surprised birthday party which was pretty wild! Then after that I had to rush to Robot for the Status x Perou after-party where I met the lovely Mr. Perou. He complimented me on my shoes quite a number of times and suggested w trade! At that point, I would've taken his shoes as my feet were insanely dead.

Ok so this is it what went down:

Ralph: Hi, I'm (IDK which name he used) chenerlou. *stretches out his hand*

Me: *smile* *shakes said hand* (At this point, I'm like ok random white man shaking my hand)

My friend Chinx whispers to me: Dude that's Perou.

My jaw dropped. LOL and then we started talking about our shoes. He is a very funny man. I'd love to just hang with him and grab a few pints, not that I drink beer lol. But he's a very quirky guy! I love him na! After my friends and I rushed to a few more parties arnd the Metro. It was a really crazy night! I'd tell you guys more but I'm getting tired of typing lols. So if you wanna find out more, follow me on Twitter or email me!

Til next time!

Kiss kiss!

Back to school

Hey lovers!

I am back in school. Sucks, I know. This weekend, I will be slaving away with my friend Cheska to build the garments we're showing at our exhibit next Wednesday (pray that I will still be alive by then!). If you're in the area, please go to the Picasso Boutique Residences in Makati on the 11th of January at around 7 in the evening. Hopefully we'll finish on time and have magnificent pieces to show!

We're gonna be producing garments made out of recycled materials. It sounds cliche but it's actually challenging because you have to think of the materials and how fragile they can be and turn them into pieces that are actually viable for use. I'd love to show you the sketches of the pieces we're making but wouldn't that take out the excitement? I'll show you the pictures of the garments themselves with the sketches when we actually finish.

Our exhibit is gonna be a la a Givenchy couture presentation. the pieces will be hanging from a ceiling with good lighting and all that good stuff. I'm really excited. LOL.

I'm in the mood to send thank you notes to all of my readers out there. So if you want to get something in the mail (like actual mail in an envelope and stuff), send me your addresses to jjorbeta@gmail.com.

Kiss kiss!

I'm right in front of my computer but I'm sending this from my Blackberry.

I got this crocodilia quite some time ago. No, it's not the elusive croc PS1. I wish it were though. I've taken this bag for granted. I've forgotten how beautiful it really is. Seeing it in that state reminded me of why I loved the bag in the first place.

I miss you guys!!

Kiss kiss!

Ps.

If any of you can recommend a good cobbler. I want to have the shoes shown redone. Yes, they are a bitch to get into. Borderline murder/suicide. I want to have that stupid platform removed. So please help!

UPDATE: Just checked the blog's stats and my blog has reached Poland, Spain and Malaysia! HOLLER! And Russia, I still love you :*
