Olympic Ayres

Hello my loves,

I apologize for not updating as consistently as before. It's just that I've been going through some personal stuff. I will try my hardest to provide new material for you as often as I can!

I am currently obsessing over this Australian duo Olympic Ayres. I first heard them on Daniel Garofali's 2012 Calendar video. When I got tired of seeing the perfection that is Daniel Garofali (k that's an outright lie, you can never tire of his gorgeousness), I started listening closely to the music that was playing (if you go to Daniel's site, it also plays that song).

OK how can you get tired of looking at that?
I started Googling the lyrics. Thankfully, one YouTube commenter identified the song as "Black and Blue" by the Olympic Ayres. I have been absolutely obsessed with this song. It has a certain je ne sais quoi about it that gets you hooked.

Here is the link to the song. You WILL get hooked. Here is another song they have, "Daylight". Unforch, Blogger won't let me put the videos themselves here.

Those are all the links you will need to find out more about them. Please do start listening to them. It's time we start listening to good music again.

In the library (part 200,076)

Hello my lovely readers.

I'm at the library yet again (since you know, I have no real friends). I have this major report tomorrow and I've been busy (sure, bitch) preparing for it. I'm currently wearing a white shawl collar blazer, a black tshirt, and grey jeans (no shoulder pads, no backlessness, quelle suprise non?), my Legends of the Hidden Temple necklace (not from the actual show, it's some tribal necklace I got from some store, and it's really heavy, my back is hurting :( ).

My report tomorrow is on the EU-NATO relationship. Since NATO is a peacekeeping organization, I wanted to wear something military-esque, but that's not happening since I don't own a jacket in moss green (nor anything that has epaulettes), unless someone gives me a lovely military Balmain jacket by tomorrow lunch time. Instead, I'm wearing a black, strong shouldered backless blazer (my 3 favorite details all in one jacket), a white button down, tucked into jeans (to tone the lewk down [sure, bitch]), plus layers upon layers of chains and crosses a la Givenchy Fall 2008 (I need all the powers of heaven on my side tomorrow).

Later this afternoon, I'm meeting my friend Enrique (the love of my life...ish) for merienda. He recently came home from the Middle of Nowhere, Seattle to celebrate the holidays with his family. I can't wait to see him. We have so much to catch up on!

AND, big news my loves, the blog has surpassed the 700 mark! When I hit 1000, I might throw a party or give something away. So keep on reading, and introduce yourselves to me! I'd love to meet you guys!

K back to NATO matters.... Ew.

Kiss kiss!

El Press Pit

During shows I love looking at the press pit from time to time because I enjoy looking at the photographers and their behavior at the shows. They aren't exactly fashion elite, but without their pictures, we won't be able to see the trends of the season. I'm sure their job require a lot of talent as their pictures are gonna be seen all over the world, plus the talent to not pass out in the press pit is just unbelievable. Last season, I had the pleasure (more like displeasure cause this bitch behind me called Jerome Salaya-Ang boring, I wanted to smack her in the head and be like, bitch are you blind) of staying at the press pit during the JSA-Sassa Jimenez-Eric Delos Santos group show, it was a delight hearing the photographers' comments. Some of them were actually funny.
